Susana Porras’s and Dan Makin’s friendship and mutual interest in travel culminates in a children’s book collaboration about a life-changing journey intertwined in truth and fantasy. Susana Porras author of Danny’s Trails: Mossley, England has traveled extensively throughout Europe and Central America and is fluent in both French and Spanish. Illustrator Danny Makin suffered a serious stroke in 2017, leaving him with permanent disabilities. However, his irrepressible spirit led him to a remarkable recovery and a newfound passion for art. Please join Susana Porras at Hastings Branch Library on Monday, May 12, 2025, at 5:00 pm during Stroke Awareness Month on a countryside hike as she showcases her passion for life, creativity, and travel. It is her hope that their combined journeys will inspire yours!
